Itinerary
- 1. 1. Departure from the Port: We will leave the port in the direction of Elche.
- 2. Arrival at the Botanical Garden: We will cross palm forests on arrival to the charming “Herto del Cura Botanical Garden”. A pleasant visit is made here to admire the abundant variety of species of Mediterranean plants, shrubs and cacti. The focal point of the garden is the magnificent “Imperial Palm Tree” of 8 trunks. Enjoy a specially prepared tasting of local products such as dates, fig bread, dried apricots and date liqueur while admiring a demonstration of how to prune a palm tree.

Departure to the centre with the Basilica of St. Mary: Visit the Basilica of Santa Maria, where one of the most important events of the calendar of Elche is celebrated: the medieval passion “The Mystery of Elche”, the only passion that the Vatican allows to take place inside a church. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
- 4. Departure to shoe factory: Elche is the largest footwear manufacturing centre in Spain and, during your visit, a demonstration of the manufacturing process will explain the origins and development of the trade. Have a complimentary glass of one of the local liqueurs before entering the showroom, where there is a selection of shoes available for purchase at factory prices.
- 5. Panoramic return to Alicante.
- 6. Visit Santa Barbara Castle in Alicante: The Castle of Santa Barbara is one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe where, in addition to historical interest, there are wonderful views over the city of Alicante and the coast.
- 7. Departure back to the boat: Return to the boat for a light panoramic tour.
- 8. Arrival at the port: Return to the boat doing a light panoramic tour.
