The charm of Alicante's capital city

Alicante as a dynamic city due to its capital condition, is the fourth province of Spain in population. The Segway tour begins in the area of great charm and modernity in the port area, next to the hotel Melia, where we will find an extraordinary atmosphere of great fame to enter the modern and cosmopolitan city, known as the Neighbourhood, which keeps secrets and may surprise as a typical corner and haven of peace where the clock seems to have stopped in time.

The Neighborhood extends around the San Nicolás Cathedral, where stops will be made in segway, as in Gabriel miro square, water museum and town hall.

One of the stops, in the water museum, is located on the slopes of Mount Benacantil the Castle of Santa Barbara, which served as protection for the locals, where it is developing an old town that have been discovered traces late Roman, remains of medieval walls and streets of the Modern Age.

People with a weigh between 38 Kg (5 stones) and 120 Kg (18 stones). And people with physical condition equivalent to ride a bike.

Itinerary

1. Start next to the Port: We will start the tour at the port. Your guide and instructor will give you the necessary explanation and practice to get to know the SEGWAY.
2. Town Hall: We will visit the town hall where inside you can contemplate the famous work of Dalí dedicated to San Juan. Patron Saint to whom the main festivities of Alicante are dedicated at the end of June. (NOTE: The Town Hall is closed on Sundays and public holidays)- We will see the Con-Cathedral on foot.
3. Water Museum: First we will visit the wells of Garrigós with incredible views of the Castle of Santa Barbara.
4. Gabriel Miró Square: In the Plaza de Gabriel Miró is the sculpture that crowns the fountain “La Aguadora”, although it is also known as “Moza del Cántaro” and is the work of the Alicante sculptor Vicente Bañuls, made in 1918.
5. San Juan Bonfires Museum: Walking through the old town of Alicante we will visit the museum of the Hogueras de San Juan. Hogueras de San Juan, this neighbourhood must be visited on foot (NOTE, the museum is optional, sometimes there is no visit, ask before starting the tour).
6. Return to port: We will return in segway to the same starting point.
